Prague

I went to Prague in August of 2000. While still recovering from the grip of Communism, Prague is an absolutely gorgeous city! You cannot walk 15 feet anywhere in it without seeing some kind of poster (or being handed a flyer) for a chamber music performance, opera, theater, concert, recital, or some other cultural event. Street artists and musicians are everywhere, and it has all the feel of a historically significant jewel. As I get time, I'll tell more about my day in the Czech Republic, but for now, just a couple of pictures:

The Vltava River
(OK, the Moldau, if you insist)

Statue on the Karluv Most (Charles Bridge)

Government building near the Jewish Cemetery

People, horses, and buildings in the main square

The facade of the Prague Cathedral

Famous clock in the square
