The Great American Eclipse!
Monday, 21 August 2017

This eclipse was the first on continentall US soil since 1979, and was enjoyed by millions of people! We ran a very popular site about the 2017 total eclipse, dedicated to the prospect of getting everyone in the U.S. out to get into the path and see totality!

We ourselves (me and my family) observed the eclipse from Carbondale, IL, and had to flee oncoming clouds in the final minutes just before totality. We made it, though, and saw every second!

All in all, most people across the country enjoyed great weather; only a very few spots were clouded out. Many people became eclipse chasers on that day, and the eclipse brought everyone together like nothing else could!

Now, we're gearing up for the Great North American Eclipse, which will sweep across Mexico, the USA and Canada on April 8, 2024. We are planning great things for our site about the 2024 total eclipse, and are hoping to bring even more people out on eclipse day to see totality! We'll have even more Community pages, to tell everyone about eclipse plans all the communities are preparing. We'll have a special section on the 2023 annular eclipse which will be a great warm-up for totality, and we'll unveil the fabulous eclipse simulator that will let you experience both eclipses "virtually". It's all coming soon!
